WHAT IS MRI?
Magnetic
Resonance Imaging is a medical technique used to clearly distinguish
certain anatomical structures from other structures and to identify
and distinguish between healthy and diseased tissues using radio
waves within a strong magnetic field generated by large magnets. With
this feature, it can be used safely for diagnostic purposes even in
very young babies and pregnant women.
WHERE IS IT USE?
Migraine,
headache, neurological disorders, suspected brain tumor, epileptic
seizure patients, patients with eye, ear, jaw joint problems, spine the problem, disc slips and disc hernias, shoulder, knee joints and

WHAT SHOULD BE DONE
BEFORE AND DURING MRI?
First of all, the
patient fills out a form regarding his/her medical history for
MRI. In addition, the materials that affected by the magnetic field,
watch, credit card, metal goods, etc. should be taken off before
entering the Emar (MR) room. The examination period usually takes
between 15-45 minutes. During this time, the patient must stop
moving, since the slightest movement causes distortion in the images.
